About Fiber Splicing


  • This course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform fiber optic splicing in Outside Plant (OSP) environments.
  • Participants will learn about the unique challenges and considerations associated with OSP fiber splicing, including safety practices, cable preparation, fusion and mechanical splicing techniques, testing, and troubleshooting. The course also provides participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely operate and maintain scissor lifts in various work environments.
