About Coax Splicing


  • This course provides cable technicians with the knowledge and skills needed to safely and effectively splice coaxial cable in hybrid fiber-coaxial (HFC) networks.
  • Participants will gain a thorough understanding of coaxial cable types, connectors, and splicing techniques through a combination of classroom instruction and extensive hands-on practice. The course covers essential topics including safety procedures, tool usage, cable preparation, connector installation, passive and active devices, map reading, powering, and troubleshooting common issues such as ingress.
